1000 Steps Beach

1000 Steps Beach is located on the western peak of Bonaire. It's named after a tall ladder that you need to descend in order to get to the beach (although in reality it will take only about 70 steps). Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts frequently visit this place, as well as romantic people.

Beach description

1000 Steps Beach covering is white sand with fine coral stone grains. The beach bay has clear turquoise water. A coral reef is located near the beach, and it attracts the sea life explorers. Near it, you will see beautiful parrotfishes, grunts, turtles, mantas, and motley damselfishes. Whale sharks were also noticed here.

The beach is equipped with water closets and trash bins, it also has a convenient parking lot. 1000 Steps Beach is not crowded with tourists, except weekends. You can come to this beach at any time (it's desirable to take some drinking water).

When is it better to go

A comfortable temperature f water (+24 °C) and air (+26 ... + 32 °C) is kept on Bonaire all year. The rainy season is from November to February, so it’s better to go to other months to relax on the beaches of the island.
