Beach description
The beach is surrounded with a 3-meter stony wall. The beach is rather narrow, however, it is a rather popular place for recreation. Bachelor’s Beach is covered with fine white sand, tables and benches under the tent of palm tree leaves stand on the rock.
The beach is suitable both for swimming and for underwater survey. The shallow-watered sandy plateau is the perfect start point in the divers' trip to a large reef. The bottom at the entry is even but don't forget about underwater stones. Good visibility (15-30 m) allows enjoying the sight of bright corals and sea flowers, together with barracudas, rainbow fishes, groupers, and other fauna.
You can get to Bachelor’s Beach by stairs; leave your car on a parking lot nearby. In the end of the day, the beach becomes the favorite place for meetings of local youth.
When is it better to go
A comfortable temperature f water (+24 °C) and air (+26 ... + 32 °C) is kept on Bonaire all year. The rainy season is from November to February, so it’s better to go to other months to relax on the beaches of the island.
