Pointe Baptiste beach

Pointe Baptiste beach is a beautiful golden sandy beach surrounded by stones and cliffs of red sandstone. This beach is located in the village of Calibishie on the northeast coast of the island, the coast of which is washed by the Caribbean Sea. Pointe Baptiste beach is quiet and deserted, shallow and great for families with children. This is the place to relax, swim in the warm and calm sea or climb rock formations to enjoy the incredible view.

Beach description

Pointe Baptiste has two completely different parts that are definitely worth visiting. The first part is red rocks, beautiful and unusual formations of smooth red ground. The cliff is formed by both the ocean and the weather. In addition to the beauty of the formations, you should definitely visit the caves to which trails lead along the coast from the black sand beach along the outskirts of Pointe Baptiste. Not less fabulous views are located on the bay towards Calibishie. This part of Pointe Baptiste beach looks especially romantic and mysterious at dusk during sunset.

The second part is Pointe Baptiste beach. It is a white sand beach in Pointe Baptiste Bay, a good place for swimming, picnic and family vacations. The advantage of this beach is its proximity to hotels and restaurants.

When is it better to go?

The average temperature in Dominica does not go beyond 25-30 degrees all year round. From June to October, powerful tropical showers are washed down the island, so iti s better to choose a different time of the year for a trip.
