Reggae beach

Reggae Beach is located in a couple of minutes drive from Ocho Rios. Not so long ago, the scenic beach was renamed Bamboo Beach Club, which led to the place being called both by its first name and by its second.

Beach description

The beach is in the quiet bay, surrounded by the edge of the mountains of St. Ann and St. Mary. This beach is often called the paradise of Jamaica. The beach are is buried in green almonds and palm trees, while the golden sand , shallow depth and turquoise Carribean Sea create the ideal conditions for a beach vacation.

Reggae Beach is not very popular, so it can be deserted. More often this beach is chosen by tourists who want to rest from the noise of the city and fans of ecotourism. Reggae Beach has a couple of bars and small grocery stores and shops. It is also one the few beaches in Jamaica where you can go kayaking on the Reggae Beach. The calm Carribean Sea is rarely stormy, so the sea is always calm, without waves. Friday night parties with DJ performances have become a tradition on the beach.

When is the best time to go?

In Jamaica, the temperature is kept in the range of 20-30 degrees year-round. Rains take place in May-June and September-November. It is best to come from December to March: it is very warm at this time, and the rains will not bother you.
