Treasure Beach, or the beach of Treasure, is the name of 4 bays and adjacent fishing villages on Jamaica's south coast. Its bays of Billy, Franz, Calabash, and Big Pedro Bay, are a tourist paradise for those looking for privacy, secluded, real Jamaican vacation. There are no comfortable beaches with complex infrastructure, expensive restaurants, pools, nightclubs, and other common entertainments. The Treasure Beach region stands apart from the main tourist places of Jamaica. Its isolation due to its remoteness from the main highway by broken secondary roads, strongly eroded by seasonal rains. You can get here from Montego Bay Airport by renting a car in 2.5 hours or by sea - by boat or yacht.
Treasure Beach is 6 miles long. There are several public beaches with golden, corral and black sand, suitable for swimming, water sports, sunbathing and hiking.
- The beach in Billy Bay is a quiet and peaceful place with warm, clear sea.
- The Franz coast is a scenic place for a picnic in nature and a beach vacation.
- Calabash Bay is a 600 m narrow strip of beach which black and golden-red sandy dunes, and the sea suitable for swimming.
- Big Pedro Bay is the easternmost part of Treasure Beach, where you can have a barbecue, swim, and sunbathe.
There are mainly deserted places with a shallow entrance to the ocean, so families with children, youth companies, and couples looking for romantic seclusion can have a good rest here. When is the best time to go?
In Jamaica, the temperature is kept in the range of 20-30 degrees year-round. Rains take place in May-June and September-November. It is best to come from December to March: it is very warm at this time, and the rains will not bother you.

To make your vacation as comfortable as possible when you go to Treasure Beach, please note that:
- all sun loungers and umbrellas on the beaches are paid;
- there may bo not natural shade on the beach, so it is not superfluous to bring a hat and sunscreen, but not to use it if you plan to swim with dolphins;
- you can leave your stuff with you in a car parked near the beach;
- if the trip is from July to November, you have to be ready for sudden rainfall - the maximum number of rain falls in October. During the same period, hurricanes are also observed creating strong waves in the ocean.
