Al Jissah beach
Al Jissah beach is a luxurious resort beach on the rocky coast of the bay located in the northeast of Oman, several minutes away from Muscat. The beach belong to the Al Jissah Hotel, so those who aren't staying at the hotel need to pay for the entrance. You can get to Al Jissah beach by car or taxi. The beach is perfect for couples and whole families.

The infrastructure of Al Jissah Beach is very well-developed. A rescue station operates here, parking lot, cafes, showers, toilets, beach equipment and rental stores are all available. Visitors can also partake in healing and spa procedures offered by the hotel.
During low tides the guests of Al Jissah Beach can explore the rich underwater world while engaging in snorkeling or diving. Due to the sea urchins and sharp stones it's recommended to wear slippers. And besides the aforementioned activities the visitors can also partake in sailing, rafting or windsurfing, enjoy boat tours, pony and camel rides or walk on the nearby rocks, while children can spend their time on the specially equipped playground. Visitors can also order food and beverages without ever leaving their sunbed.
When is the best time to go?
Since in the summer in Oman the heat rises to 35-40 degrees, it is better to go to a cooler period – from October to March. However, it should be considered that during the New Year holidays there is a peak in the tourist season, which significantly affects the prices.
