Jambiani beach
Jambiani is one of the most remote beaches of Zanzibar, located in the southeast of the island. It is a not crowded, quiet and calm beach, with underdeveloped infrastructure.

Beach description
The length of the coastline is 2 km. Snow-white fine powdery sand cover the beach. There is sand, stones, boulders and coral plates at the bottom. The water in the ocean is clean, clear and warm. Along the coast, algae colonies grow, high tides often wash them ashore. The ebbs are strong, the water goes lower for 2-3 km. It is impossible to swim at this time and the beach suits only for sunbathing. You can see sea urchins, stars and crabs on the bank. It is recommended to wear special rubber shoes.
Travelers visit affordable and cozy cafes, stores and souvenir shops located on the shore. There is a market and a post office in the village.
When is it better to go
The climate of Tanzania is monsoon, the sun is active. The best time to relax – is from July to March. The rainy season falls on April, May and November. February – is a swing of the Tanzanian summer, the air temperature reaches +38 degrees during the day, the water warms up to +30 degrees. In Zanzibar there is a difference of 6 - 10 degrees, with the constant gusts from sea.
