Kizimkazi is the beach of the southwestern coast of Zanzibar, located on the territory of the same-name fishing village.

Beach description
Most of the coastline is unsuitable for swimming at low tide, the water lowers for 2-3 km. The coastline and bottom are covered with fine white sand and stones. The Indian Ocean is warm, clean and calm, there is no wind but sometimes high waves rise on the west coast. The beach lifeguards monitor the safety of vacationers.
Kizimkazi is a secluded resort with many bays and attractions in the form of old buildings. The nearby village has the oldest functioning Shirazi mosque in all of East Africa. Tourists observe dolphins and migrating whales from observation platforms and elevations.
Travelers book rooms at luxury beachfront hotels. There are budget and expensive accommodation options. There are umbrellas and sun loungers on the coast. Kizimkazi is a comfortable secluded resort, people here relax with friends, family or with kids.
When is it better to go
The climate of Tanzania is monsoon, the sun is active. The best time to relax – is from July to March. The rainy season falls on April, May and November. February – is a swing of the Tanzanian summer, the air temperature reaches +38 degrees during the day, the water warms up to +30 degrees. In Zanzibar there is a difference of 6 - 10 degrees, with the constant gusts from sea.
