Beach description
Kendwa is a wide and long beach, so there is enough space for all vacationers. The slope is flat, the water deepens gradually and quickly. There is no shallow water, shells, stones and algae. On the coast fine white sand lies and tall perennial palms grow. The facilities are suitable for adults and children. The ocean is calm with azure, clear and transparent water. The tides are low.
People get to the beach and hotel by taxi, rented car, bike, bus or local Dala-Dala public transport. Ferries go to Tanzania from the archipelago; you can rent a “flying minibus” (an internal flight). Service and facilities are developed at a high level by Africa standards.
When is it better to go
The climate of Tanzania is monsoon, the sun is active. The best time to relax – is from July to March. The rainy season falls on April, May and November. February – is a swing of the Tanzanian summer, the air temperature reaches +38 degrees during the day, the water warms up to +30 degrees. In Zanzibar there is a difference of 6 - 10 degrees, with the constant gusts from sea.

A coral reef spreads around the beach, attracting diving enthusiasts from around the world. This is the home of sea urchins, squid, crabs, stingrays, whale sharks, dolphins, butterfly fish, which are clearly visible thanks to the crystal clear water. Tourists who want to dive for the first time can use the services in diving centers. The cost of two dives is about $ 100-$ 150. The instructor teaches you the rules of underwater behavior, shows you the best places to dive, ensures the safety and provides the necessary equipment.
