The splendor and luxury of the social life on the Côte d'Azur amaze even the most sophisticated tourists, but after a few days, these can begin to tire and even weigh one down. Beach description
Mala Beach is a compact, quiet pebble beach within walking distance of Cap d'Ail. You can reach the beach by train (route terminal - Cap d'Ail) or by bus. However, you can't stop right at the beach, even if you come by private transport. The reason is that the beach is accessed via a steep descent through picturesque rocks and a pine forest. As such, it may be challenging for couples with small children or individuals with disabilities to navigate this path. These visitors may prefer to take a boat taxi and arrive at the beach by water.
The cozy bay, which cradles Mala Beach, serves as a haven for yachts and boats. As a result, it is advisable not to let children swim unattended beyond a meter from the shore. The beach itself is a blend of small pebbles and sand: the closer you get to the water, the sandier the shore becomes. The descent into the water is gentle, making it safe to swim here. During the summer, beach inspectors are on duty to ensure everyone's safety.
Even during peak season, the beach is not overcrowded, which is undoubtedly a plus. This secluded charm attracts the "rich and famous," so don't be surprised if you find yourself sharing a bar with a former James Bond actor or a Hollywood diva.
When is the best time to go?
The French Riviera, also known as the Côte d'Azur, is a prime destination for beach enthusiasts. To make the most of your beach vacation, timing is essential. The best period to visit largely depends on your preferences for weather, crowd sizes, and local events.
- Mid-May to Mid-September: This is the peak season when the weather is warm and sunny, perfect for beach activities. However, it's also the busiest time, so expect larger crowds and higher prices.
- Late September to October: For those who prefer a quieter experience with mild weather, this is an ideal time. The sea remains warm enough for swimming, and the summer crowds have dissipated.
- Spring: Late March to May offers pleasant weather, though the sea might still be too cool for swimming. It's a great time to enjoy the coastal scenery and outdoor cafes without the peak season's hustle.
Ultimately, the best time to visit the French Riviera for a beach vacation is late June to August if you're seeking vibrant beach life and don't mind the crowd. For a more relaxed trip with comfortable temperatures, consider late September to October.

Infrastructure
There are two bars and restaurants on the beach where the prices are typically "Riviera" high. Consequently, if you're on a family vacation, it makes sense to arrange a picnic on the beach, having prepared supplies beforehand from a store further inland, as the prices at local vendors are inflated several times over.
Sunbeds are available for rent, courtesy of the local restaurants. The prices are quite steep, so if you're looking to save money, consider bringing a towel or a special beach bed. Showers and toilets are accessible to all vacationers. For complete relaxation, seek out the masseur who works at one of the local bars.
For those who wish to indulge in some cultural treats, consider attending the live music concerts organized by each of the bars. Order a glass of rosé wine and a plate of seafood, and you'll find yourself in paradise! Notably, for Russian-speaking guests, the bars ensure that there is at least one Russian-speaking waiter on staff, eliminating any language barriers.
Water sports enthusiasts will find facilities for catamarans and canoes. Even beginners can manage these with ease, as the sea is remarkably calm during the beach season.

- Locals also call this beach "Eden beach". Can you guess why? Place on which beach is located is almost untouched and not built up with fashionable hotels (which is rare for the Cote d'-Azur). Save the beach from human invasion limestone rocks that make it difficult to access this Paradise.
- Special attention is given to Cap d'Ail. If you are in the city passing (road to the beach still leads through), allocate at least a couple of hours to explore the local attractions - the garden of Sacha Guitry, park and villa Chateau de Terrasses, which was once the residence of the Russian Imperial family, the villa "Alam", which was owned by Mathilda Kschessinskaya, and later lived – Greba Garbo. Cap d'Ail is strikingly different from the bustling Nice or Monaco. Cap d'Ail helps to forget about everything and immerse yourself in the contemplation of the majestic nature.
- From Nice and Monaco, buses run to Cap d'Ail every 15 minutes. Cost of trip is 1 Euro. Rush hour on these flights lasts from 7: 30 a.m. to 9:00 and from 05:00 p.m. to 06:30 p.m.
- Name Mala beach was named in honor of Mathilda Kschessinskaya, world famous ballerina and, according to rumors, mistress of the last Russian Emperor. That's what her name sounds like in French.
