Hiddensee Beach
Hiddensee is the beach of the island of the same name, which is located west of the largest Baltic Sea island of Rugen. Hiddensee Island is quite narrow (it can be crossed across within an hour), but long, without road transport. Therefore, it is difficult to get to the beach - first to the big island, Rugen, and from there by ferry, this is one of the fastest ways. Most of the island is occupied by a national park and not just one settlement, but the whole of Pomerania. Which on one side adjoins the main beach, where there is a dam, strong waves, and undergrowth of brier.

The opinions on a vacations here differ; on one hand the beach isn't popular because of the relative difficulty to reach it and poor infrastructure - the shore is mostly covered in large sand and pebbles. On the other hand you can meet a lot of elderly tourists who prefer solitude here. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are available on the sandy parts of the beach.
Getting to the water is easy, the descent is smooth which is why some tourists bring their children here. It's not really a fascinating vacation, but you can enjoy the wonderful nature, the birds and mammals that live at the nearby park. At the same time no attractions are situated at the wild Hiddensee Beaches. The lighthouse which attracts tourists is considered its main sight. And it's truly breathtaking - the differing landscapes in the front and the endless sky in the back. There are numerous pathways and benches among pines and sea buckthorn plants. This Baltic serenity, untouched nature and rare bird species is perfect for romantics, poets and artists.
Many tours around the island will tell you about the adventures of pirates and amber production. The local cuisine is good too, especially fried fish and various meals made out of sea buckthorn.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit the beaches of Germany is July-August, when the Baltic Sea becomes warm enough for swimming, but the air is still cool enough for excursions.
