Warnemünde Beach
Sandy and clean Warnemunde Beach, with a length of about 3 km, tourists and holidaymakers from all over the country come here on weekends and in high season. The beach is quite wide, so there is enough space to relax even if there is a large crowd of people. For modest tourists, there is one drawback - the lack of beach huts. Sea air and warm sand certainly do their job, but we can not say that the sea on Warnemünde Beach is absolutely calm (although in the Baltic sea this does not happen), there are still small waves.

Beach description
This resort is located near Rostock, it was a small fisherman village before, but now it's one of the most popular beaches of the Baltic Sea. Although many things, like the cozy little houses, the calm atmosphere and a lot of sea fauna, remained the same, trade shops and restaurants were built.
Getting to the Warnemunde Beach is easy by train from Rostock, it's not a long way, takes about half an hour, or you can rent a car, but will have to take the ferry over the river. You can have a lunch or find a place to stay the night in the city or at the beach. The city infrastructure is well-developed and affordable for all. Fresh fish, fast food, beer or restaurants with traditional German cuisine - everything can be found here.
Local sights include the drawbridge near the old channel, the lighthouse with a watchtower, Evangelical church and, of course, the promenade along the shoreline. You can cap your day off with an amazing sunset over the Baltic, as the number of visitors doesn't decrease in the evening - couples, families with children, elderly tourists or solitary travellers.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit the beaches of Germany is July-August, when the Baltic Sea becomes warm enough for swimming, but the air is still cool enough for excursions.
