Blackpool beach

Blackpool Beach is located on the coast of the Irish Sea within the eponymous resort in Lancashire. The beach covered with light beige sand stretches along the magnificent promenade, at night shining with thousands of lights of illumination.

Beach description

Convenient steps lead from the promenade to the beach. The territory provides large pitchs for beach volleyball, football, there are donkeys with trolleys for children to ride, rental of beach equipment, water sports stations. There is a large restaurant. The slope into the water is sloping, the sea is calm, shallow, but cold.

Three piers stand out from the promenade at sea, where shops, restaurants, and various entertainment establishments are equipped.

In recent years, the city beach became semi-desert. Elderly people walk along the coast, athletes run, children play, dog lovers walk their pets. There are few tourists. The city beach largely lost its popularity after the opening of Sandcastle Water Park and a giant amusement park with warm water pools, water attractions, slides for adults and children, extreme entertainment, restaurants, cafes.

When is it better to go

The best time to visit Great Britain for a beach vacation is typically during the summer months, from June to August. This period offers the warmest weather and the longest daylight hours, making it ideal for enjoying the seaside.

  • June: The start of the summer brings milder temperatures and fewer crowds, allowing for a more relaxed beach experience.
  • July: As the peak of summer, July offers the warmest temperatures, which can reach up to 30°C (86°F) in some areas, perfect for sunbathing and swimming.
  • August: The end of summer continues to provide warm weather, and it's also a popular time for local festivals and events along the coast.

However, it's important to note that British weather can be unpredictable, so even during these months, it's wise to be prepared for the occasional rainy day. For those looking to avoid the busiest times, the shoulder seasons of late May and early September can offer a good balance of pleasant weather and fewer tourists.
