Perranporth beach

Perranport Beach is located on the shores of a small resort of the same name in the county of Cornwall in England.

Beach description

The five-kilometer territory, surrounded by rocks, is covered with fine light sand and boulders of various shapes and sizes. The entry into the water is very sloping and long, the bottom is sandy and rocky. The waves are medium. It is often windy. A very high tidal wave is noted. The sea quickly regains its position, merging with the sandy coast.  It is necessary to be careful while being at the beach in this moment.

Perranport has a developed infrastructure. There are rental centers of beach equipment, cafes, restaurants, beach houses. There are stone pools for children and adults. It is very comfortable to relax with children of any age. Much space is alloted for sports and playgrounds, but at the peak of the swimming season, Perranport does not seem overcrowded. Families with children, elderly citizens from different countries of the world, students rest on the beach. The inhabitants of the British Isles prevail. There are few tourists.

It is possible to get to Perranport by train from London, by bus from other cities, by taxi or by rented car. There are several spacious parking lots near the beach.

When is it better to go

The swimming season in the UK officially begins on May 5 and ends on September 30, but it is better to travel on British beaches in late June, when the air temperature warms up to + 25 °C. The water in the Kingdom's water area is always cold for swimming – around + 17 °C, and at best it is not higher than + 22 °C in the warmest places of the Gulf Stream flowing. Even when abnormal heat comes to the country, the seas around the islands remain cold. In September, the weather may break up, despite the calendar off-peak season.
