Seven Sisters beach

Seven Sisters beach is located near Eastbourne, East Sussex county, in southern Great Britain. It is a very long and wide are of coastline, stretching under the chalky hills. It is covered with small shingle, which is also located on the sea bottom near the coast. There are often strong winds and waves.

There is convenient parking lot near the beach. Nearby there is a tourist center, where you can get an information booklet, buy souvenirs and rent a bicycle. The cities of Seaford and Eastbourne, located near the beach, offer a variety of options for rental of housing.

The beach area is included into the national nature reserve, several walking paths are laid around it.

When is it better to go

The swimming season in the UK officially begins on May 5 and ends on September 30, but it is better to travel on British beaches in late June, when the air temperature warms up to + 25 °C. The water in the Kingdom's water area is always cold for swimming – around + 17 °C, and at best it is not higher than + 22 °C in the warmest places of the Gulf Stream flowing. Even when abnormal heat comes to the country, the seas around the islands remain cold. In September, the weather may break up, despite the calendar off-peak season.
