Böda beach

Böda Beach is one of Sweden’s best and most popular beaches, which undoubtedly deserves such attention from both the Swedes and visitors. It is located on the east coast of the island of Oland and extends for as many as 20 kilometers. From the continental part of the country you can get here by car on the highway 137: however, when leaving from Stockholm, you will have to spend at least 5 hours on this. There are also bus and train routes, but this journey will take even longer.

Beach description

The sand is covered throughout its length: surprisingly, they manage to look after such territory with dignity. The sea here is calm and shallow, and, importantly, there are specially equipped separate areas for bathing with children and bathing with dogs. The Baltic Sea is not one of the warmest, and for those who are afraid to catch a cold, there is an outdoor pool with heated water and sun loungers nearby.

Also on the beach there are volleyball, soccer fields, rental boats, boats and equipment for scuba diving. For those who like to discover something new during their holidays, there is a golf club next to Byda with introductory courses for beginners. And if you want to stay here for a longer time, you can pitch a tent in the equipped area for camping

When is the best time to go?

Vacation on the beaches of Sweden is best in July-August, when the water in the northern Baltic Sea becomes warm enough for swimming.
