William's Town beach

William’s Town beach is located in the center of the eponymous urban settlement 3.2 km from Freeport, the second largest city in the Bahamas. This place is popular among water sports lovers. The eastern part of the coast is designed for banana, water skiing, jet skiing, etc. Also, this beach is one of the few where horse riding along the coast is popular.

Beach description

Snow white sands with talc texture and calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. The beach bottom is also sandy, even, and rather shallow. Similar to the most beaches of this island, snorkeling is popular on this beach.

On weekends, musicians and dancers often gather on the beach and entertain the visitors with Bahamian music and dances. For comfortable beach rest, it's better to come here earlier: Closer to noon, Wiliam Beach can be already overcrowded, especially in the high season from November to May. On the beach territory, cafes and bars serving local snacks and soft drinks, are open.

In spite of the fact that William Municipal Beach is popular, its infrastructure provides no public water closets.

When is the best time to go?

Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.
