Interestingly, Xanadu Beach used to be the most popular beach in the Bahamas, since it was here that the famous Xanadu Hotel was located, known to many as the place where the millionaire Howard Hughes spent his last years. Its remains are now preserved on the beach, so you can wander nearby to go back to the distant 60s, imagining that somewhere nearby Frank Sinatra or other "celebrities" of that time who often visited this area were lying around on the beach.
