Beach description
The beach is situated in a very picturesque place, at the bottom of Caucasus Mountains. Such geographical location favors the creation of special mild climate on the resort. The swimming season in Gagra os the longest in Abkhasia.
The beach, 500 meters long and 40 meters wide, is covered with light round-sahped pebbles of medium and large size. The beach has a smooth natural ascent near the water edge. Depth increases rather sharply. The beach is popular among families and young people but it is almost never crowded.
The beach is situated near the quay, so there are several cafes and restaurants here. The slide functions on the beach during the season. You can also rent a hydrocycle or a catamaran here. Right on the beach, visitors are offered relaxing massage service.
Several hotels and tourist hotels are located by the beach. Moreover, it is easy to find accommodation options in private sector and in small guest houses in New Gagra.

The climate of Abkhazia is mild and comfortable, so tourists come to local resorts all year round. The swimming season begins in May and ends in October.
