Pitsunda Central beach
The shoreline of Pitsunda stretches for about 15 km. The central beach is the biggest and the most popular among the locals and tourists. The great nature surrounding it makes for a great relaxation spot near the sea. Its main feature are the unique relict pines.

Beach description
The central beach is a long and wide coast area covered with pebbles and sand. The beach is smooth, comfortable and neat, with clean sand. The sea is clear and transparent. Depth increases rather sharply but the beach has several meters of shallow water. The bottom is rocky, so the water entry is recommended with the special shoes on. The beach is located in the bay, so there are no high waves and wind here. the beach is one of the most popular in Abkhasia, so it is rather crowded during the high season.
The beach is equipped with changing cabins, washing rooms, water closets. Tourists can rent umbrellas and deck chairs, together with water games equipment. Tourists can rent motor boats, and book sea tours. Cafes, restaurants, stores, and hotels are located nearby.
When is it better to go
The climate of Abkhazia is mild and comfortable, so tourists come to local resorts all year round. The swimming season begins in May and ends in October.
