Sinop beach
Sinop Beach is one of the most famous and most visited places is Sukhum. It is also called Mocha. The coffee reference is due to the nice brown sand here.

Beach description
The beach is situated in the closest suburb of Suhuma, 6 km away from the city center. It covers the large area (length - 2 km, width - 80 m). Almost all beach is covered with sand, and the band of fine pebbles appears only near the tide line. The sea bottom is also very rocky in this area but water is very clear, instead. There are no high waves here. The water entry is convenient but the depth increases rather sharply. The vast beach territory allows avoiding crowds even in the high season. The Sinop Beach is popular among families and young people.
The beach is situated at some distance of the city central part, but it is still well-equipped. Here, you can rent sling chairs and sun umbrellas. You can also relax on the beach under free tents. In the high season, the beach offers water games (a bouncy castle slide and trampolines), tourists may also enjoy banana boats, catamarans, and hydrocycles. The beach is equipped with paid water closets. There is a bar on the beach, and several cafes and stores nearby. The variant for accommodation close to the beach can also be easily selected. The most part of offers are guest houses, or apartments. There are several hotels as well.

Attractions
Right by the beach is the old Sinop Park. Planting in it was carried out before the revolution, part of the plantings (for example, a bamboo grove) has been preserved since that time. Other interesting city sites from the beach are also easy to reach. You can walk or get to the Arboretum, Monkey Nursery, Dioscuri promenade.
How to get there
From the city center to the beach, you can walk in 30 minutes (along the Kodori Highway) or take the minibus or trolleybus No. 2 (stop Sinop).
