Sakouli beach
Sakouli Beach is a small beach, located on the central part of the Mayotte Island. It is famous for its soft black and gray sand and strong waves during the trade winds (from July to October). On its territory there are 2 cozy bars offering Creole dishes and soft drinks. Its windows offer magnificent views of the ocean.

Beach description
There are 2 kayak rental centers in Sakouli. There you can rent a boat for 15 euros, as well as book a tour of the desert island of Bandzel. Near the beach there is a large hotel with an outdoor pool, restaurant, free parking and recreation areas. 1.5 km southwest of the beach is the village of Nyambadao. Its stores sell food and souvenirs.

When is the best time to go?
Mayotte is located in the southern hemisphere, since the climatic winter coincides there with the calendar summer, so the best time to visit the island is from September to November and from April to May, when a comfortable temperature is set.
