Saziley beach

Saziley is a national park, located on the southeast of the Mayotte Island. There are several large beaches on its territory. Some of them are covered with white sand, others have black surface. There is also a paradise sandy island with a perfectly flat surface.

Beach description

This park is famous for the following features:

  • a primeval rainforest with many birds and animals;
  • low occupancy - there are few people here even in the peak tourist season;
  • a great variety of fish;
  • picturesque coral that decorate the sea bottom;
  • inaccessibility - you can get here by sea or on a walking path;
  • silence - no busy roads or other sources of noise near the beaches;
  • a large sea turtle colony.

Please note that there are strong waves and a sharp set of depth. Think twice before you you swim far from the shore or go swimming in high waves.

When is the best time to go?

Mayotte is located in the southern hemisphere, since the climatic winter coincides there with the calendar summer,  so the best time to visit the island is from September to November and from April to May, when a comfortable temperature is set.
