Beach description

The contrasting combination of white sand with azure sea and green palm trees gives a full sense of presence on tropical islands. It is never very crowded here, although the resort is intended for vacationers of all categories: families with children, single travelers and romantic couples - all of them feel good here.

Rest on Busena Beach can be calm and peaceful with the quiet rustling of the waves, in the soft rays of the sun. Active tourists go jet skiing, parachuting or surfing.

A glass bottom cruiser sets sail from the beach pier. A 20-minute walk offers panoramic views and you can enjoy watching local fish and corals. You can touch and feed the parrot species of fish. All the diversity of the underwater world appears in detail if you watch it from an underwater observatory, going to a depth of 170 m.

It is better to spend the second part of the day, visiting the park. You can walk around a small area or enjoy a ride on a tram-style bus. After that travelers can admire an incredible sunset.

When is the best time to go?

If in the north of Japan, in Hokkaido, the weather in January-February is quite wintery, in the southern islands the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees even in the cold season. In summer, the rainy season comes in Japan, when the humidity becomes almost one hundred percent, and the thermometer is at 30 to 40 degrees.   Therefore, the best time to travel to Japan – is late spring or early autumn.

Infrastructure

There are hotels along the coast that can improve the quality of your holidays by providing spas, beautiful outdoor pools, and eclectic dishes in restaurants. You may stay at the famous Busena Terrace, 5* that was a host place for G8 summit guests in 2000.

The hotel occupies a winning and picturesque position on a small peninsula extended to the sea. There is a lot of space, a light breeze, and the sun, piercing all corners of the building with its rays. It's nice to walk around the beautiful territory. There are two ocean beaches, at the open sea and at a closed bay, there are also several pools. One of them has an artificial waterfall. There is a large selection of restaurants and ways to spend time: golf, water sports, clay modeling, etc. On the territory there are souvenir shops, stores with groceries, clothes. Various entertainments are offered for adult tourists and their children. The service and staff are impeccable.

Okinawa attracts tourists not only with the luxurious nature and comfortable hotels. Exoticism is emphasized with a specific cuisine. Don't rush to waste your yen in a chic restaurant. You can get the same quality in an authentic fish market or in a picturesque cafe. The mandatory tourist menu will include tropical fish with shellfish, healthy local seaweed, and umi-budo. Be sure to try the bitter melon. One of the authentic drinks is a glass with awamori (vodka) or habus (a drink infused with 13 herbs, with the addition of honey and a snake placed on the bottom of the vessel).

Tourists often buy habushu, known as the local "Viagra". Buy souvenirs of bingata fabric, kariyushi shirts, Ryukyu glass or shisa. Figures of the former are used as amulets, attract wealth and protect the house from evil forces. On the island, these dog-lions of various sizes and colors sit look at you from all shop windows, any fence or roof.

Useful information

  1. The trip to Busena Beach takes just over an hour from the airport or Naha bus station. Taxi services are also available.
  2. In Japan, salaries are quite high, so you need to take a lot of money on a tourist trip. Holidays here will require more expenses than in Europe.
  3. In summer, it is warm and dry in Okinawa, there is no tropical stuffiness, the water in the sea is comfortable and affectionate.
  4. Crime here is also some kind of Japanese. Noone robs you at the streets, burglary here is a nonsense. You can walk at any time down any street. You can be afraid of only a bribe or conspiracy. But this, rather, refers to the politics, and not to tourism.
