Beach description

The two-kilometer coastline is covered with white sand and surrounded by bizarre cliffs stretching out of the sea (a great background for photos). The coral reef is exposed during low tides, it protects the beach from high waves and devious currents. At these moments, it is interesting to wander along the sea floor, collecting shells and watching the marine inhabitants trapped in numerous tidal pools. During such walks, you should take care of special shoes so not to hurt your feet and accidentally step on a dangerous sea creature. You need to be extremely careful in the water, as Habbo jellyfish are occasionally found in the sea, their burns are quite painful.

In general, swimming on Mibaru is absolutely comfortable and safe. The bottom is flat and sandy, the slope is smooth, high waves are observed mainly during strong seasonal storms and typhoons. The swimming season lasts all year, the most comfortable months are from May to October. In winter, the water temperature does not drop lower than twenty degrees, in the summer it reaches thirty degrees.

The beach is not crowded, even in the high season you can find where to place your towel. There is no rental of sun loungers, tourists should take their umbrellas, sand blanket and other attributes of a beach holiday.

The beach is equipped with toilets and showers, there are picnic tables and lockers for storing things. In the summer months, sports equipment rentals are available, you can take a water ride or rent a glass-bottom boat to enjoy the sea inhabitants living outside the reef. The reef itself is very picturesque and diving enthusiasts adore this place. There are also many interesting things around the coastal cliffs, the sea waves and the current for many centuries formed bizarre grottoes and caves, in which you can meet exotic representatives of marine fauna.

From the north, Mibaru borders with the more chamber and secluded Hyakuna Beach, surrounded by rocky capes. Among the Japanese it is considered a sacred place, according to legend, it was here, where the goddess Amamikyu stepped ashore.

When is the best time to go?

If in the north of Japan, in Hokkaido, the weather in January-February is quite wintery, in the southern islands the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees even in the cold season. In summer, the rainy season comes in Japan, when the humidity becomes almost one hundred percent, and the thermometer is at 30 to 40 degrees.   Therefore, the best time to travel to Japan – is late spring or early autumn.
