Fusaki beach
Fusaki is a beautiful long (about 1 km) sandy beach on the western edge of Ishigaki Island that attracts ecotourists and nature admirers. It's located just 10 minutes away from the center of Ishigaki, on the territory of the resort hotel of the same name, but it's accessible for anyone. It takes about half an hour by car to get here from the island's airport.

Beach description
The beach is considered to be one of the safest for swimming, which makes it perfect for family vacations even with young children. Fusaki's coast is covered in white sand and surrounded by a coral reef that protects the beach from the high waves. The water is very calm here. But take note as coral shards can be found on the sea bottom, so it's recommended to wear slippers.
A wide variety of attractions is available for the guests of Fusaki. There's a water ski rental, a kayak rental and a wakeboarding rental. Ecotourists are attracted by the opportunity to watch turtles that lay eggs on the coast. You can also take photos of the most beautiful sunsets.
When is the best time to go?
If in the north of Japan, in Hokkaido, the weather in January-February is quite wintery, in the southern islands the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees even in the cold season. In summer, the rainy season comes in Japan, when the humidity becomes almost one hundred percent, and the thermometer is at 30 to 40 degrees. Therefore, the best time to travel to Japan – is late spring or early autumn.
