Baishawan beach

Located on the northern coast of the island next to the city of New Taipei. It is a coastal part of the Shimen area, which is part of Taipei County. One of the most popular and picturesque beaches of northern Taiwan, its name translates from Chinese as "White Sand Bay."

Beach description

The picturesque crescent-shaped bay is protected from the wind and high waves by the Linshan and Fugui capes and boasts a one kilometer long beach with white sand, excellent surfing conditions and a breathtaking coastline. The central part of the beach is the most comfortable for swimming – there is a smooth entrance to the water and a flat sandy bottom. A safe place for swimming is surrounded by buoys, and rescuers are vigilantly observing the order. The coastal area is equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and beach tents, there are toilets, showers and changing cabins.

Extreme sportsmen and lovers of water entertainment are more attracted to the western and eastern extremities of the beach. Here you can go surfing and boarding without any restrictions, ride a jet ski, or go water skiing. Paragliding enthusiasts will appreciate the hills around the beach, which are an excellent launching pad for an exciting flight over the picturesque coast.

And lovers of hiking will be delighted with the many paths and paths laid among the streams of petrified lava. In some places, the remains of volcanic rocks form small improvised pools, where fish fall into the trap of a retreating tide. In the western part of the bay lies the tiny Linshanbi Beach, formed as a result of the eruption of an ancient volcano, and in the eastern side is Qianshunwan Beach, famous for its cozy coastal restaurants with amazing local cuisine.
