Fulong beach
Located in the north-eastern part of Taiwan in the vicinity of the picturesque village of Fulong. Belongs to Taipei County and is one of the best beaches on the island’s north coast. Convenient railway and bus connections are established between the capital of Taiwan and Fulong, which attracts many tourists and local residents to these places. In addition, sand sculpture competitions are regularly held on the beach, and in July a large-scale rock festival is held, which brings together not only the most famous Chinese musicians, but also their foreign colleagues.

Beach description
A three-kilometer coastline stretches along the village of Fulong and is covered with fine golden sand, which is very rare for Taiwan. The azure waters of the Pacific Ocean and the emerald green of coastal vegetation complement the idyllic picture that every connoisseur of a comfortable beach holiday paints in his imagination.
The Shuang River divides Fulong into two parts (external and internal), which are connected by the Rainbow footbridge.
- In fact, the outer part is an island, the shape and size of which varies depending on the ebb and flow of the river. There is no shadow at all, so you should take care of beach umbrellas, drinking water and sunscreens. Entrance to the beach is paid, opening hours are from 8 to 18 hours. As a rule, this part of the beach is the most crowded, therefore, in order to occupy a convenient place, it is better to arrive early. The outer beach is a favorite vacation spot for families with small children. Kids enjoy sculpting sand figures from sand, trying to imitate eminent masters, and have fun frolic in the shallow warm coastal waters, calm and absolutely safe. True, severe storms and even typhoons happen in Taiwan during the winter season, which the coast guard notifies tourists in advance. At such times, access to the external beach is limited or completely closed.
- The inner beach is the coastal part of the village of Fulong and is a comfortable recreation area equipped with everything necessary. Here you can rent umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as rent boats, canoes, surfboards and other sports equipment. Right on the beach, you can have a snack in one of the coastal cafes or use the services of lunch box sellers (a budget option for fast food, consisting of rice, vegetables and meat, placed in a special box). The entrance is paid, the beach is equipped with toilets, showers and changing rooms. There is a parking lot that in the high season and on weekends can hardly accommodate everyone.
A little to the east is a small free beach, devoid of the usual amenities, but with unlimited access after 18. A popular place for picnics and romantic dates in the rays of the setting sun.
When is the best time to go?
The period from the end of September to April-May is the most favorable for a trip to Taiwan, since the weather in these months is not too hot to relax on the beach. October is considered the most comfortable month regarding the weather. Spring begins with the rainy season, in summer, intense heat keeps in these latitudes.

In the vicinity of the beach there are enough various accommodation options for every taste and budget. Young people and budget tourists prefer to stay at a campsite near the beach. It is located directly on the river bank and at the same time accommodates more than one and a half thousand tourists. It offers tents and separate beach houses; all the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay and accommodation are created on site.
More demanding tourists should pay attention to the elegant Fulong Bellevue Resort, located in close proximity to the beach. It offers comfortable modern rooms with ocean views, an outdoor saltwater pool, sports and playgrounds, a karaoke room and two excellent restaurants with excellent local cuisine.

Particularly noteworthy is the eight-kilometer-long Kaaling famous historical trail that stretches along the coast. It offers stunning views of the ocean, and on the way tourists have the opportunity to get acquainted with unique ancient artifacts, ancient temples and historical relics, including ancient hieroglyphs from the time of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, carved on two giant stones.
