Kyra Panagia is a model family beach in the eastern part of the island of Karpathos. It is surrounded by huge rocks, green hills, scenic Greek villas and picturesque tavern. From its shore there is a beautiful view of bright blue sea, tourist liners, the mountainous shore of Hellas and dense forests.
The beach is covered by snow-white sand with a small admixture of pebbles. There are no sharp cobbles, glass or other dangerous objects on its surface. But there are many beautiful stones of all colors and sizes. Another advantage of Kyra Panagia is the large number of trees. They grow 10 meters from the sea and cast a broad shadow to save tourists from the summer heat.
Kyra Panagia is very popular. At 10 a.m., its territory is filled with hundreds of tourists. But due to the long (over 300 m) and wide (up to 70 m) shore, there is enough space for everyone. Moreover, there are many secluded locations in the surroundings of the beach, suitable for secluded vacation or sunbathing without clothes.
