Pisses beach
Pisses attracts visitors with its natural beauty, the opportunity to diversify a beach holiday with sports activities on the water, search and study of attractions. Located at 12 km from the capital of the island, it has the only campsite there. In ancient times, this place was one of the four fortified cities.

There are wonderful conditions for curious tourists: many foot paths with magnificent views, ancient ruins the walk among which will take even more than one day. Interesting churches and monasteries are located nearby.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

There are the ruins of ancient Piyessa on the left side of Pissa, and the remains of an ancient tower and hill, once surrounded by a wall, are noticeable. This part of the bay was given to a small port for fishing vessels. It used to be a cemetery on the right side, where the church of Agia Sotira now stands. The eastern side of the plain beyond the beach leads to the church of Agios Isidoros.
If you make a 20-minute journey southwards, you will get to the inaccessible beach of Kastelakia. It can only be approached by boat or on foot. Another trail leads to the equally quiet beach of Vroskopos.
