Nova Icaria beach

Nova Ikaria is a small beach covered with fine yellow sand, 400 m long and up to 60 m wide. The descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy, there are no waves due to breakwaters. On the territory there are paid sun loungers and umbrellas, paths and descents for wheelchairs, a lift for bathing people with disabilities, a first-aid post, fresh-water showers, changing cabins, and toilets. There are restaurants, eateries, pizzerias and cafes on the beach and on the boardwalk.

Nova Ikaria is one of the best places in Barcelona for families with children. Children's play areas are equipped. Fitness equipment for adults is installed. There are rental points for catamarans, boats, jet skis, diving equipment, snorkeling and surfing. Near the beach there is a park where you can comfortably relax in the shade of trees.

The beach is not crowded, but there are many vacationers on the weekend. Here townspeople and tourists with children have a rest. On certain days and hours, volunteers work to help people with disabilities enter the water and get ashore. Near the beach there is a port with a yacht pier, where you can not only enjoy the beautiful sports yachts, but also rent a boat for a boat trip.

When is it better to go

The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.
