Ponent beach
Ponent is one of the biggest central beaches in the Salou resort on the west coast of Costa Dorada. The beach receives the Blue flag award every year and proves its status of being environmentally friendly, safe, clean, and the service here is top quality. The infrastructure is well-developed, with everything necessary for a good vacation. The beach is crowded and popular among tourists from all over the world. The coastline is 1,1 km long and 42,6 m wide. There are a lot of amusement parks and centers, attractions, historical and cultural sights nearby.

Beach description
Ponent is a crowded sandy beach with a gradual depth rise and transparent water. It's located in a cozy bay, which is why there are no strong winds or high waves here. The coast is washed by the Mediterranean Sea. The sand is grainy, golden and nice to the touch. Many palms, exotic trees and various other greenery grows on the shore. Tall mountains shape the colorful background. The unique landscape creates a great-looking picture, where tall hills merge with modern hotels, palm trees, wide beaches and blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Soft grainy sand covers the sea bottom, the water near the shore is shallow, with occasional seaweed. The area is cleaned every day, and the sand is sifted with special equipment. The resort conditions are suitable for visitors with young children. This is a great place for families, groups of friends and couples. The beach is popular, crowded and never empty.
You can get to the beach from your suite on foot, and those who would like to explore the surroundings can rent a bicycle. This way, you can visit any neighboring beach on Costa Dorada.

The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.

The Ponent Beach has all the conveniences for a comfortable vacation for people of all ages. Various cafes and restaurants operate here, and visitors can use showers, toilets and changing rooms. A rental store with umbrellas and sunbeds is located in the area, playgrounds are installed for children, there are also diving centers here. Miramar - a long promenade with souvenir shops, stores, cafes and bars - is located parallel to the beach. Restaurants serve Spanish, Asian and European cuisine.

There's a rental store with water equipment and vehicles for those who like water sports. The Sports Harbor with many beautiful yachts, boats and sports vessels moored at the pier is located in the west of the beach.

The second biggest Disneyland in Europe - Port Aventura - is located near Salou. Tourists who visit Salou also have the opportunity to come to the famous water attraction Aquapolis. Wine making is widely popular in Salou - many great brands of wine are exported from here; masters create porcelain Lladro products. A fair is held in the old part of town every Monday.
