El Castell is a beautiful sandy beach in the vicinity of Palamos. It is located just north of the resort, in a small bay surrounded by pine trees on all sides. This beach of Catalonia offers excellent conditions for a secluded holiday by the sea.

This is one of the most popular beaches in the region, with excellent infrastructure and a wonderful location. El Castell is a long sand crescent surrounded by pine groves. The sand on the beach is quite coarse. The bottom is almost completely sandy, sometimes pebbles are found. The entrance to the water is gentle, but the depth grows rather quickly. The water is clean and transparent.
The beach is perfect for vacationers of any age, here are excellent conditions for children and adults. In high season, there are always a lot of people on El Castel, but the large area of the beach allows even at this time to find a convenient place for everyone.
When is it better to go
The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.

Walking routes along the rocks are laid around the beach; here you can easily combine relaxing by the sea with pleasant walks. Also from El Castell Beach, you can reach the Dali hut and the ruins of an ancient Iberian settlement. Near the beach there is an amusement park Pp's Park and Parc dels Estanys.
How to get there
You can get to the beach from Palamos only by car or on foot along the Cami di Ronda (trail along the sea).
