Aljibe de la Cueva beach

In the northwest of Fuerteventura, less than three and a half kilometers from the quaint fishing village, lies the hidden gem of Aljibe de la Cueva Beach. This secluded spot is a favorite among the youth and remains relatively undiscovered by the masses. Stretching over 400 meters, the beach boasts fine, golden sand and waters that shimmer with all shades of turquoise. The approach is a gentle slope, interspersed with partially rocky terrain, and the beach itself is framed by low cliffs and scattered dunes.

Aljibe de la Cueva is quite popular with wind and kitesurfers, who flock here to teach beginners the essentials and to conduct masterclasses for the more "advanced" surfers. However, they must bring their own equipment, as there is no board rental service available on the beach. Despite this, lifeguards are on duty, ensuring the safety of all beachgoers.

To reach the serene Aljibe de la Cueva Beach, visitors can enjoy a 20-30 minute walk or take a bus from El Cotillo to the nearest bus stop on the gravel road. This untouched paradise offers a tranquil escape for those looking to enjoy the natural beauty of Fuerteventura's coastline.
