Cofete beach

Cofete on the island of Fuerteventura is a real wild beach with a length of 12 kilometers. A minimum of buildings, the lack of an asphalt road, endless clean white sand and the raging ocean - tourists love it for this.

Beach description

Cofete is considered a wild beach not only because of isolation, constant waves and strong wind are a great addition to the "rampant" of the beach. The beach is located in the north of the Jandia peninsula, in the southern part of Fuerteventura. You can get to the beach by car, overcoming a mountain range on a narrow winding road. But these inconveniences will be rewarded: the place is famous for its solitude, because in addition to a small fishing village, where, by the way, you can have a delicious lunch, there are no more settlements near the beach. There is no electricity in the village, residents use solar panels and windmills, which is also of interest, and stunning views of the mountains of the Jandia and the Atlantic Ocean will make an indelible impression on you.

When is it better to go

The beaches of Fuerteventura are suitable for relaxing all year round, but the ocean temperature does not rise above + 21 °C even in the warmest months. Winds constantly blow on the island, which makes the climate milder and more comfortable than in Africa, which is 100 km away.
