Beach description
The beach is just minute drive from Hamilton. There are three hotels near the beachline, so it is often overcrowded with tourists. The beach offers its visitors a variety of amenities, including:
- restaurant,
- bar,
- bathrooms,
- locker rooms,
- transfer services back to the hotel.
Elbow Beach also offers snorkeling equipment, sun loungers and beach umbrellas for rent. In the evenings, guests have fun playing volleyball, which everyone can join.
Corals reefs are near the beachline. They act as barriers to the ocean breeze, so the local waters are calm and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. During such tours, you can explore in details the rich ocean life of Bermuda.
The remains of the Pollock Shields shipwreck are almost 100 meters from the beach. This warship stumbled upon local reefs and sank to the bottom on August 22, 1915. Those who want to see it can go to the crash site by kayak or boat accompanied by a guide.
When is it better to go
