Beach description
Soft sand and clean coastal waters create all conditions for quality recreation. Nobby Beach is a great place for family holidays and active leisure time. In the southern part of the coastline, there is a park, children's playground and barbecue area.
You should swim and surf here carefully because of the high waves, shallow waters, cliffs and strong currents. The weather on the beach is mostly sunny, and the wind can increase by the evening. You can go fishing along the entire length of Nobby Beach.
Nobby Beach has a parking lot, its own lifeguard club, public toilets and bathrooms for people with disabilities. You can get to the beach by bus on the Gold Coast Highway or by private car.
When is it better to go
The busiest swimming season in Australia lasts from December to February. In this summer, for the southern latitudes, the mainland heats up to 25-30 °C, in places up to 40 °C. In winter (June to August) the air is cooled down to 11 °C. May and September are considered the best beach months with a cloudless sky and not too active sun.
