Beach description
The wide and long (4 km) band of golden sand under the pines stretches along Tasman Sea. This beach is situated at a distance of 17 kilometers from the city center, which makes its atmosphere very quiet. At this, manley is very well equipped and supplemented by the improved green quay. The part of trees grows right on the sand border, so the place has natural shadow.
The beach is good both for swimmming and for surfing. This ocean beach area is perfect for water sports.
Manley has everything its visitors might wish:
- shower stalls;
- water closets;
- changing cabins;
- equipment rent stations;
- stores.
The sand area transforms into a well-organized green quay with numerous cafes and restaurants. Bicycle tracks are equipped along the promenade. In the very end of the beach, there is a natural swimming pool - the beach site with the artificial sea bottom protected with stones.
Manley area has numerous hotels but apartments are the most popular here. Other hotels can be found in the central part of Sydney.
When is it better to go
The busiest swimming season in Australia lasts from December to February. In this summer, for the southern latitudes, the mainland heats up to 25-30 °C, in places up to 40 °C. In winter (June to August) the air is cooled down to 11 °C. May and September are considered the best beach months with a cloudless sky and not too active sun.
