Pichidangui beach

Pichidangui Beach, surrounded by picturesque hills, lush gardens and olive groves, is located on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, in the resort of the same name in Choapa Province. There is no air or water pollution in this region, which is why ecotourism is particularly popular here.

Beach description

Pichidangui is covered in clean white sand, perfect for barefoot walking. The descent is smooth and the sea bottom is sandy, but it gets windy quite often during the season, and the high waves can become an obstacle for swimmers. Some parts of the sea bottom are covered in dangerous stones.

Pichidangui is perfect to come to in-between seasons, when there are no tourist crowds here and the water is calm. It does get crowded during high season. Young tourists who are fond of extreme water sports often flock here. Chileans from different parts of the country also can be frequently encountered here. Few people come with children.

Pichidangui has a well-developed infrastructure. Showers, toilets, rental stores and stations where you can rent kitesurfing, windsurfing, sup surfing, parasailing and bodyboarding equipment all operate here.

When is it better to go

The beach season in Chile begins in October and ends in March. Do not forget that the Peruvian current (Humboldt Current) prevents a full beach holiday, as it carries cold streams from Antarctica along the coastline of South America.
