Beach description
The wide coastline is covered in a thick layer of white sand. The descent is smooth and the bottom is sandy. The waves are high and the water is cold due to the Humboldt Current. The high temperature, cold ocean and fresh breeze create a unique atmosphere on the beach.
Playa Braca is an excellent choice for sunbathing and relaxation, and it doesn't get very crowded. Locals and tourists in search of high waves and fair wind visit this place. You can bring your children too, as they can spend their time on the playground or build sand castles. You can get to the beach from the city center by taxi or rented car.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Chile begins in October and ends in March. Do not forget that the Peruvian current (Humboldt Current) prevents a full beach holiday, as it carries cold streams from Antarctica along the coastline of South America.
