Deadman's beach

Legend has it that the beach of Deadmens (which is translated from English as "the beach of the dead") was named after the pirates who were landed on the neighboring island of the Dead Chest and thrown over the river to the other side. And although pirate treasures are hardly left on the territory of a small crescent-shaped bay, once you get to this place on the island of Peter, you will find other treasures untouched by time and people - golden sand and the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

Beach description

The water entry is rather smooth here, and the bottom is even and clear. During the hurricane season, it is windy here, but the most part of time silence and calmness reign at Deadmans that are broken only by large number of visitors. Due to its excellent characteristics, the beach is popular enough in people of different age, both in tourists and in locals. Sling chairs and umbrellas on the beach territory belong to a neighboring hotel but for moderate fee, you can rent them for a day. Several small cafes and bars are also situated nearby: you can enjoy your cocktail right on the beach or go up a small hill, following a short path, in order to enjoy your private sunset. However, don't forget that you can go back only by water! Ferries or private yachts go between the other islands and Deadmans.

When is the best time to go?

Since the islands have a tropical climate, the air temperature during the year is practically unchanged and rarely drops below 24 degrees. The same temperature level is noted when determining the water temperature. The wettest and most comfortable months to stay – are from September to November, but the hurricane season also falls on the same period. Therefore, the best time to relax – is the beginning of December or May and the end of April.
