Friar’s Bay beach
Friar’s Bay Beach is located on the south coast of St. Maarten. The bay here is well protected from the waves, thanks to the calm waters of Friars Bay, it is perfect for families.

Beach description
The sand on the beach is soft, but walk along it carefully because of the abundance of shells. From the beach is available a wonderful view of the neighboring British island of Anguilla. In the daytime, the beach is mainly occupied by local residents. Most tourists come here after dinner for various events. Parking and picnic tables are available for them. Two beach bar-restaurants organize themed evenings, barbecue and private parties. On Sundays, live music is played at the beach cafe from 6 to 9 pm. In the backyard of the establishment there is a playground for children.
Near the beach there are such attractions as the cultural center Grand Case and the historical monument Hope Estate, on the site of which archaeologists managed to unearth the artifacts of ancient settlements.
When is it better to go
The island of Saint-Martin is characterized by warm and dry weather all year round. July and August are considered the hottest months (average air temperature reaches + 32 °C). You can have a vacation in this Caribbean canton all year round, however, the high season falls on the period from December to April.
