Maho beach
Maho beach is located on the southwestern edge of Maho Reef, on the South coast of Saint Martin. It is possible not only to swim and sunbathe, but also to watch the daily “air show” (takeoffs and landings of aircraft that sweep right over the heads of tourists).

Beach description
Maho beach is a few metres from Juliana airport. There is a stand with a schedule of flights on the beach. The approaching plane is reported on the loudspeaker. In addition, negotiations between the crew of the expected aircraft and dispatchers are broadcast on the radio.
However, Maho attracts not only spotters (fans to watch the aircraft), but also surfers and windsurfers, who rely on the sudden swell of the sea, caused by powerful air currents from the engines of jetliners. White sand, clear water and a rich marine world with corals and a variety of fish are also considered to be the landmarks of Maho. On weekends, this small beach is only 300 m long and resembles an anthill.
Visitors are provided with facilities such as toilets, umbrellas, sun loungers and parking. There are a lot of snack-bars and bars on the beach. In the evenings there is live music in some of these bars. Casino Royale is a short walk from the beach and the 19th century Dutch fortress Fort Willem I is 6 km away.
When is it better to go

You can have a vacation in this Caribbean canton all year round, however, the high season falls on the period from December to April.
