Beach description
The beach is perfectly suited for a quiet holiday. Here you can lie on towels, swim in the ocean, walk along the promenade, engage in various water and sports activities. There is a volleyball net on the beach, so everyone can take part in the game. It's very clean, nice and safe here. There are luxury hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars on the beach. The water has a special grid that protects surfers and snorkelers from shark attacks, which, unfortunately, are not uncommon in this area.
On the beach, you can see couples with children, single travelers and snorkelers, for whom Plage de Boucan Canot Beach is a real paradise, because it's home to a rare fish species and other interesting ocean creatures. You can get to the beach by rented car, bus or on foot, but the latter option is less attractive, as the distance from the center to the beach is 3.2 km.
When is the best time to go?
Since there are mountains on the island, the climate on it is cooler and drier than on the neighboring islands. Since Reunion is located in the southern hemisphere, the calendar winter coincides with the climatic summer, so the best time to visit the island is from September to November and from April to May.
