Roches Noires beach
Plage des Roches Noires Beach is located in the heart of the city of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains on the west coast of the Réunion Island. This is the second place after the beach of Plage de Boucan Canot, which is considered safe for spending your holidays and is in demand among tourists from different countries and cities. The beach is near the harbor with the port, popular place for strolling among holidaymakers.

The beach is sandy, the water in the ocean is warm, many travelers are happy with strong waves, medics and rescuers are on duty. There are two zones: one is intended for surfing and the other is for swimming and those travelers who want to relax and sunbathe on the beach. All zones are fenced with special protection. Tourists are attracted by the wide coastline, picturesque scenery, as well as good infrastructure and excellent opportunities for a good rest. Along the beach, there are cafes, restaurants and hotels.
Here you can see crowds of happy vacationers, including hardcore fans of surfing. The beach provides favorable conditions for surfing and offers to visit the rental centers where you can rent the necessary equipment. The best way to get to the beach is by renting a car or using local transport.
When is the best time to go?
Since there are mountains on the island, the climate on it is cooler and drier than on the neighboring islands. Since Reunion is located in the southern hemisphere, the calendar winter coincides with the climatic summer, so the best time to visit the island is from September to November and from April to May.
