St Leu beach
The charming beach of St Leu, located near the center, in the southeast of Réunion, is overcrowded with tourists, especially on weekends. The weather on this beach is not always favorable, so in case of bad conditions, you can spend time in the neighboring beaches – La Salina or L'Hermitage. The beach is divided into two parts by coral reefs. Lifeguards are on duty here, there are amenities for recreation with children, rent of umbrellas and deck chairs. Holidaymakers are recommended to always stay on the left side of the beach.

The coast is sandy, the water is warm, comfortable descent, wind blows on the right side of the beach. It's very beautiful and clean. You can have a variety of meals, because near and along the beach there are cozy restaurants and cafes for every taste. So it won't be difficult for you to find the right place for lunch or dinner.
St Leu is a real paradise for snorkeling, which attracts many lovers of the underwater world and its inhabitants. Here you can see a huge number of rare fish species, and more.
The best way to get to the beach is by renting a car or taking a bus. The road will take about 30 minutes, the main thing is that you'll have something to look at on the way.
When is the best time to go?
Since there are mountains on the island, the climate on it is cooler and drier than on the neighboring islands. Since Reunion is located in the southern hemisphere, the calendar winter coincides with the climatic summer, so the best time to visit the island is from September to November and from April to May.
