Horizon beach
Horizon is a sandy beach located in the city of Le-Cap-Ferret. It is famous for its huge size (more than 7 km in length), wide beach (up to 150 meters) and perfect cleanliness.

Beach description
On the beach, there are toilets, tables, armchairs, gazebos, rescue towers. There are a lot of litter bins here and some cozy bars. At the end of the touristic season (in the middle of September), a part of infrastructure is dismantled.
Horizon is famous for its high waves. It is popular among fans of sailing sports, extreme swimmers and surfers. Its territory and the seabed are covered with soft sand. Local waters are clean but dangerous, they are characterised by sharp difference in depth and underwater currents. A few kilometers from the beach, there are public baths, an old lighthouse, an oyster bar.
There are the following infrastructure objects near the beach:
- three supermarkets;
- several hotels and touristic apartments;
- auto repair shop;
- surfing equipment shop;
- night club;
- ice cream parlor;
- confectionary shop.
Guests of the beach are offered the following entertainment:
- tasting the best French dishes;
- sunbathing near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean;
- trips on rented boats;
- visiting the desert islands in the surroundings of Horizon.
There are no buses to the beach. It is possible to get here only by personal transport or taxi.
When is the best time to go?
It is possible to relax in France at any time of the year, the time of the trip depends more on your preferences. Summer - a great time to travel to the sea. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, even on the southern French Riviera is not hot weather. In winter , people go to ski resorts in France.
