Port Vieux beach
Port Vieux is a small but very beautiful beach located in the central part of Biarritz. Its length is about 100 m, and width reaches 150 m. It is surrounded by light brown cliffs, picturesque houses and hotels, stone terraces and dense forest. There are a lot of snug bars near it. There is a paid parking with 50 spaces 300 meters from the beach.

Public catering deserve specific attention. Guests can try seafood, French, Continental and Asian dishes. They are offered pancake places, Basque bakeries, pastry shops and hamburger bars.
Port Vieux is special because of its soft sand, medium waves and a warm, refreshing wind. Important to note: during low tides areas with sharp changes in depth appear on the beach. You should be sure that your children are in safe place prior to let them go to the ocean.
