Montalivet beach
It is situated on the west coast of New Aquitaine in the northern part of the Medoc Peninsula. It belongs to the Gironde department and is part of the Montailivé-les-Bains resort. The beach line which is 12 km in length, is conditionally divided into three parts (central, southern and northern ones), it is covere with fine golden sand and surrounded by high dunes. In the southern part, the world famous nudist resort, officially opened back in 1950, is located. The special part of the beach is offered for naturists, next to which the whole settlement is built with all necessary infrastructure for comfortable vacation.

- Central Beach Montalivet is the most organized and overcrowded, and an asphalt road, which runs into a large free parking, leads to it from the city center. Here you can also find shops, cafes, snackbars, as well as bicycle, surfboard and other sports equipment rentals. The beach is equipped with shower stalls, toilets, and block houses, there is a possibility to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach is monitored by the rescues and beach police, who carefully keep the order and warn about low and high tides with special signals. The beach s defended with the bulk dams from strong currents, the places for more comfortable swimming are marked with flags, that allows families with little children to feel completely safe.
- North Beach Montalivet is surrounded by high dunes, and in some places, giant pines are located very close to the beach. Here the wind is stronger and the waves are higher so this part of the beach is preferred by fans of surfing and other extreme water sports. You may go karting and horseback riding along the beach, cycling routes are organized in the forest.
- South Beach Montalivet is situated at the end of Tassigny Boulevard, it has its own parking, shower stalls and toilets. There are also surfing and sand yachting schools, as well as an emergency station. The most part of the beach is offered to nudists, the boards marked with the bulk dams. The rescuers and the police keep the order carefully. Next to the beach, there is Helio-Marinе nudist center, which is a settlement, entirely built up with campsites and bungalows, with its shops, restaurants and nightclubs. This is a kind of private club, members of which are free to use sports fields, swimming pools, and tennis courts located on the territory, also they have free access to the cinema and library. Among regular visitors of the center there are many celebrities whose names are kept in the strictest confidence.
