Possidonia beach
Possidonia is a small cozy harbor located on the very road on the southwest coast of Syros. The small territory is surrounded by luxurious old-style mansions that have well preserved their original appearance, and from the shore there is a gorgeous view of the neighboring islands and the Aegean Sea.

The beach is considered to be one of the best, with crystal clear and calm water surface. The sandy beach is equipped with everything necessary, there are cafes and atmospheric taverns, where fresh seafood and soft drink are served, as well as sprawling palm trees, which give tourists a secluded shady area for vacation. It is possible can get to resort area by bus or rented car. The distance from the island's capital Ermupolis is only 13 kilometers, and a regular bus runs almost every hour.
Near Possidonia there are several other beaches and village with the same name, so there are always plenty of tourists in this part of the island. There are available accommodation options in the beach area for any tourist, and once you have settled in the village, you should go to the local churches and rest in the secluded pavilions.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
